Via Trip Advisor: "A lovely gentle walk in the leafy lanes of St Martins with Korinne, part of our Guernsey tours, provided a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the area's buildings, especially the cottage that Renoir used in his paintings. We also enjoyed a delicious cream tea while taking in the view that Renoir cherished and often painted during his time here, all while following in Renoir's footsteps." Anthony G
Thank you so much for the lovely local guided walk today. The scenery in Guernsey is beautiful, and we truly enjoyed the extra bits of information along the way that we wouldn't have discovered on our own or from a guidebook. It was a privilege to enter the grounds of your cottage and hear its fascinating history. We shall now look at Renoir's pictures with a deeper understanding, inspired by walking in Renoir's footsteps.
The Guernsey tours and the contributions from locals are really valuable too.
Best wishes, Gillian and David Bullock
Hello Korinne,
Thank you so much for the lovely walk we enjoyed on Thursday during our local guided walk. It was very good to share that experience with you, especially as we followed Renoir's footsteps through the beautiful scenery.
"Hi Korinne, Thank you so much for the walk today, we really enjoyed it!"
Best,
Rebecca
Our students were deeply pleased with their stay in Guernsey. It isn't any surprise for us, as we know that most teenagers here are often touched by the charm of the island. During their time, some of them even participated in local guided walks, which enhanced their experience. I shared with them some stories about your father's evacuation in WWII, and they were interested as they could feel that it was an authentic testimony from somebody they had met. As you know, children's evacuation did not take place in occupied France, so it's sometimes hard for French teenagers to figure out how things happened. They were particularly fascinated by exploring Guernsey tours that followed Renoir's footsteps, connecting history with art in a meaningful way. I thank you for the attention you paid to our project. Yours, Corinne Nicolas-Mussot Professeur d'histoire-géographie Brest, France
Hi Korinne,
Just a quick message to say thank you very much for last night. I really enjoyed the local guided walks and found it very interesting to hear all the tales and see places, like those associated with Renoir's footsteps, that I haven't visited before!
Thanks again, Gemma
